Hope Shared
Where every donation makes a difference.
Crossway Community Thrift Store is a non-profit organization based in Canmore which provides its customers with a great place to shop for affordable necessities such as furniture, clothing and much much more.
Proceeds from sales go back into the community. By shopping and donating you help fund local school scholarships, subsidized homegrown sports teams, and provide props & costumes for community theatre projects. Two of our biggest projects are the Jacket Frost and Back to School programs which have also been helping families for more than 20 years.
The Thrift Store is a social hub in Canmore, where on any given day, friends and neighbors meet while dropping off donations or shopping. We are well-regarded as part of the Bow Valley's recycling efforts and are grateful to a very supportive community which provides us with fantastic items which we can offer as a "green" alternative to other retail shopping. We have had visitors from as far away as Europe, from the southern U.S and Asia; be sure to put us on your "things to do in the Canadian Rockies" list!
We Need Your Help
Our store has the same overhead costs as any other store; profit or non-profit. In fact, with thrift store prices and the same overhead, we could not stay open without our amazing volunteers! Additional programs rely on the help of others in our communtity like you.
1) WHO ARE WE
Glad you asked. Crossway Thrift Store is a second-hand store that sells furniture, housewares, clothing, collectibles and just about everything else you can imagine. We are a group of community minded people doing whatever we can to make the Bow Valley the best it can be!2) HOW DID WE BEGIN
Over 20 years ago a garage sale was held through the Rocky Mountain Victory Church. It's goal was to collect enough funds to make up Christmas Hampers for families in need. Now Crossway Community Thrift has grown into a busy store, open 6 days a week, with multiple employees and volunteers. The community has helped us grow by continuing to donate items. Thanks to all the support we've been able to give back to the Bow Valley through various programs.3) ARE WE A NON-PROFIT
Crossway Community Thrift Store is a charitable organization. We rely on you, your donations, your volunteering and your shopping at our store to "help us help others".Come on by and see all the amazing donations. Remember that every purchase helps someone in need.
